  1. As for hardware, I always need either my Sony Vaio or Toshiba Satellite laptop with me. Sony is more of a show off laptop and the Toshiba is to look like I mean real business! Apart from these a trusty BlackBerry keeps me connected to my emails, could not live without it!

  2. I just want to make some money! :)

  3. Steve, you sound like a flash translator!

Years of study, practice and experience gives you real hardware. Your brain.

  4. A good kit for professional translators, in my opinion, is a accurate online dictionary you can check when necessary, a moder laptop you can use anywhere you go and a good internet connection you can take with you wherever you go.
If you are a professional translator working for yourself you should have all the tools that are necesarry to keep you work and clients under control at all times.
Obviously a good knowledge and experience in the language you are translating from or into is essential but as translators kit go I would really recommend new technology to be currently updated.

  5. When I translate I use the following page United Nations Multilingual Terminology Database plus wordreference. They are both very good and provide multiple choices for any type of translation

  6. I guess everyone has a different kit they use for their translations.
