China is a market to look out as .cn domains are on the increase!
There has been a lot of development in Asian markets over the past few years. Everyone has been investing there, and with the recent 2008 Olypics it seems China is the most exciting place to be. Have a look at this recent finding and think about this from a translators prospective:

Will .cn be the new .com?
My thinking is that the .cn will become extremely popular over the next few years as many business there are looking to localize their sites to global markets.
China is a country producing large amounts of electrical products then selling on these products to the likes of Amazon etc. Imagine China with a business such as Amazon! E-commerce direct to the customer from China. No middle man and huge savings for all. Amazon cut out the shops, now China will cut out the Amazons!
I can see massive potential for localization of e-commerce websites in China, any one agree?

Regarding China and the state of the present market, I wouldn´t be that sure, although I guess this crisis won´t last forever.
China is a country with great potential but the language barrier as well as international regulations are always there as obstacles.
I agree with Stevie and I think China is already a potential market. I guess it will grow even more in the near future.
